It Matters

It matters that we live our life
And that we try and fail
But in the end what matters most
Is that we’ve told our tale

It matters that we learn to love
And that we win and lose
But in the end what matters most
Is that we’ve worn our shoes

It matters that we make our mark
And that we stretch and strive
But in the end what matters most
Is that we’ve been alive
